Beaches
Wake up with a sunrise sea swim. Seafield Hotel’s private access beach is a ten-minute walk through the woodlands from the main hotel. Spend your day visiting the other local beaches in the sunny south east.
Just 25 minutes’ drive away, The Strand Cahore is a scenic place to get a bite to eat and have a drink while overlooking beach and pier. A ten-minute walk along Cahore’s cliff walk will bring you to the beautiful white sandy Old Bawn beach.
Morriscastle, another beautiful beach is a 30-minute drive from Seafield Hotel while the very popular and famous Curracloe beach is 40 minutes away. Curracloe being famous for being the location of the D-Day sequence in the Hollywood Blockbuster, Saving Private Ryan.
Golf
Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort is located within a 5-minute drive from both Ballymoney Golf Club and Courtown Golf Club. There are plenty of other golf courses a little further away, please ask at Reception for more information.
Walking and Hiking Trails
County Wexford has plenty of scenic walking trails which included wooded, historic, coastal and mountain trails. Courtown Woods and Tara Hill are both a 10-minute drive from Seafield Hotel and provide a selection of trails. Visit Wexford Walking Trails for more local trails and choose the walk which best suits you.

Fun Group Activities in Wexford
Located a 10-minute drive from Seafield Hotel in Courtown, Pirate’s Cove provides plenty of fun group activities including bowling and mini golf. Also in Courtown, Active Tribe has a large swimming pool, water slide and modern gym where you can enjoy a leisurely swim or a quick workout. On your way back to the hotel discover Ireland’s iconic seal species with a guided tour at Courtown’s Seal Rescue. Learn about the rescue and rehabilitation process and meet the adorable seal pups in care.
The Steeplechase at The Stables, which is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, is a 5km obstacle course, designed to excite groups of all ages and bring out your inner adventurer.
Gorey Town
The bustling local town of Gorey is a 10-minute drive from Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort where there are plenty of wonderful boutiques, stores, coffee shops and restaurants.

What to do in County Wexford
There is plenty to see and do within an hour’s drive of Seafield Hotel including Enniscorthy town, home of Enniscorthy Castle and the National 1798 Rebellion Centre. Enjoy a tour around Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum and Gardens while you watch the peacocks strut by at the castle lakeside with its Gothic towers, waterfall and statues.
Wexford town is also within hours drive of the hotel. The gleaming National Opera House packs an architectural punch inside and out. Home to Wexford’s famous Opera Festival, the town comes alive with rarely performed operas, fringe street theatre, poetry readings and local art exhibitions. Wexford’s Spiegeltent Festival is one of the largest multi-genre festival in Ireland, blending the Olde Worlde feel of the Spiegeltent with the best in popular entertainment.
A little over an hour’s drive away, in New Ross, enjoy a tour of a replica famine ship called the Dunbrody or take a stroll around the The John F. Kennedy Memorial Park.
