Things To Do
Right. What do you want to see today?
You could go visit the oldest working lighthouse in the world at Hook Head. Or Wells House which is very close to us and is quickly becoming one of the top family attractions in Ireland. Or how about the Kia Ora Mini Farm, also nearby? Or the fantastically good fun at Pirate’s Cove or Courtown Adventure Centre in Courtown Harbour? Or the John F Kennedy Homestead?
Want something to do? How about quad biking? Or a pony trek? Or a round of golf on Courtown course? Or Ballymoney? Or Arklow? Or Enniscorthy? Ok, let’s go for a par 3 then.
Hold on, let’s do some kitesurfing or kayaking or at least let’s hire some bikes and go for an explore. Back in the water we can go fishing or go on a harbour adventure. Or visit the International Outdoor Adventure Centre, just an hour south of Seafield.
In New Ross there’s a replica famine ship called the Dunbrody. In Enniscorthy the castle is a big deal around here, especially as it will be the new home for the outstanding National 1798 Rebellion Centre.
Finally, Gorey has always been a kind of designer shopping oasis. There are some fantastic boutiques and stores here to which people come from far and near, including names like Ruby Rouge, La Crème Boutique and The Dressing Room.
Tired yet?
Don’t be daft, get up, get out there and make your most of Wexford in the solas na gréine.
